For more than 23 years, Greg Herlean has focused on strategic growth, wealth creation, and innovative opportunities within the real estate and financial sectors. He founded Horizon Trust Company over 13 years ago, and under his leadership, it has grown into a leading New Mexico–based custodial firm holding over $1 billion in assets.
Greg’s extensive industry knowledge and passion for self-directed investing drive Horizon Trust’s mission and educational focus. He has spent the last decade teaching Americans how self-direction works and helping them take command of their retirement accounts—empowering investors to build and preserve generational wealth through alternative assets.
Prior to launching Horizon Trust, Greg built significant success in real estate, acquiring and managing a portfolio that includes more than 620 fix-and-flip projects, 2,000 apartment units, and 12 hotel properties nationwide. His ability to identify opportunity, take calculated risks, and lead with entrepreneurial vision continues to shape the company’s growth and impact.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Greg is a devoted father of five and an active community supporter in his hometown of Las Vegas. He values family above all and channels his passion for growth into both his business and personal life.
