Cary Dougherty has been a dedicated professional in the retirement industry since 2010, bringing over a decade of experience and expertise to Horizon Trust Company, which he joined in 2017. Since then, he has developed a comprehensive understanding of self-directed retirement operations—gaining hands-on experience across every department and now leading the Compliance and Asset Management teams while overseeing IRS tax reporting.
Cary continues to strengthen his foundation through ongoing education with RITA and Ascensus and is proud to be certified as a Self-Directed Industry Professional (SDIP). He is passionate about sharing his knowledge with colleagues and clients alike, helping them navigate the self-directed industry with confidence.
